on january 16th, 2020, i made and uploaded a silly little track called "BRANDNEW2020DRIFTINGFOREVER" in one sitting. i spent all of 2019 trying and failing over and over to make music, just to create something new that i felt proud of, and i wanted 2020 to be different. that little track was my feeble attempt at that, but again, it failed. it was something fun and cool and free-spirited, but i wasn't necessarily proud of it. throughout the latter half of this year, i continued to work on this idea, while subsequently working on myself. as slow and hard as this journey was, this little idea bloomed into a nearly 12 minute piece of music that i have become endlessly in love with. to say i put a lot of myself into this creation is an understatement. making this song has sparked a new sense of creativity in me that i know will lead to so much more music next year. thank you for listening, thank you for caring, and thank you for being patient with me. i love you.
